Cautions and contraindications

  • G.I. care should not be used to treat patients with atrophic gastritis with decrease or lack of secretion of the stomach acids. G.I. care contains herbs that neutralizes and stops a secretion of stomach acid and may worsen this condition.

  • Take four capsules three times a day on an empty stomach 1 to 2 hours before meal
  • For maximum effect take 10 minutes before going to sleep


  • Drink large amount of water often to help when the first signs of heartburn appears
  • Avoid Freid, spicy or greasy foods, refined sugars, coffee, caffeine, salt, chocolate, strong spices, and carbonated drinks. Stay away from sour in acidic foods and fruits
  • Eat plain regular meals and to slowly and thoroughly
  • Increase intake of nourishing, cooling foods such as Mexican yams, yams, potatoes, carrots, melons, cucumbers, beets, and turnips
  • Increase intake of papaya and pineapples as they contain Bromelain, the digestive enzyme that helps with indigestion acidophilus is also helpful for digestion. Avoid lentils, peanuts, and soy beans because they contain enzyme  inhibitors
  • Avoid spicy, pungent, and aromatic foods
  • Avoid drinking alcohol and caffeine. Alcohol and caffeine increased stomach acid and interfere with ulcer treatments


  • Avoid stress as much as possible. Do not eat when angry, overly tired or stressed and always to food thoroughly
  • Avoid anti-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as aspirin Motrin or ibuprofen. These medications damage the stomach
